I was putting in some information into my 2003 Yulelog program and it locked up and would not do anything. After waiting for a good while, I had to just turn off the machine. When I tryed to open again the program would not let me in. It said: "Yulelog is damaged and cannot be opened. Use the Recover command to recover this file." I'm not sure what this recover command is so I need your help. I'm not real knowledgable about the working of computers so you will have to explain what to do step by step. I even tried to reinstall and couldn't get to the command to install.

Thanks,
Billie

Billie,

I'm sorry you are having trouble.

When a computer locks up, due to power failures, hardware problems, or other factors, it can damage database files such as a YuleLog file. YuleLog provides two built-in mechanisms for restoring damaged databases: AutoRepair and Recover. AutoRepair occurs when the file is opened. Recover is a command you choose by opening YuleLog in a special way.

Instructions for using the recover process can be found at:

Let me know if you need more help. Contacting me directly via eMail is usually quicker.
