Rules for Posting on the YuleLog Bulletin Boards

Don't forget the rules that make YuleLog a pleasant place to visit!
When you register(ed) to use these Bulletin Board, you agree(d) to the following:

Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we may not always actively monitor the contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB or any entity associated with this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB.

Although this BB does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we at this BB reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this BB, Infopop, Inc. (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message. We at this BB also reserve the right to reveal your identity array (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on this BB.

Please don't talk bad about other people. If you disagree with them and feel the need to tell them so, please use E-mail, not the bulletin board. Several Internet news groups are marred by the actions of a few selfish people who turn an otherwise positive forum into a soap box for their anger issues. Internet newsgroups are not moderated, and therefore, anything goes. These boards are moderated in an effort to keep the discussions appropriate to the topic at hand. Those who feel they can not abide by these rules are welcome to read the posts on the board, and respond via email to the person who posted the message. Messages that are argumentative or sarcastic in nature will be deleted without discussion.

We do not believe in censorship, and open discussions about various issues is encouraged. We ask that everyone conduct himself or herself with respect when speaking to other people. It is okay to disagree, as long as the discussion remains respectful of the feelings of others. Once a discussion begins to step over that line, the post in question will be deleted. In extreme cases, individuals who are not able to conduct themselves as responsible group members will be asked not to return.

Don't post about bad traders. While you may have truely run into a bad trader, many, many, times it is an honest mistake or a shipping delay. So to prevent mistakes and to avoid liability issues, I ask that you not put this type of information on the YuleLog Bulletin Boards. There are other resources available if you have been a victim of fraud. Or if you used the US Mail, they will want to know if you have been the victim of fraud.

Do feel free to share good news or good stories! (or even sad stories as long as you don't have to talk bad about someone.)

MESSAGES THAT VIOLATE THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO REMOVAL. I've seen too many boards suffer because of bickering, let's try not to start it here! I am not trying to be difficult, but doing these things can cause the board to work poorly or make it an uncomfortable place to visit.
Comfort and Joy!
