We have two Hallmark stores by us owned by the same person but named after each of their kids, and my husband had gone into one of them the other day that told him that their other store was having a sidewalk sale.
So I called the other store to see if the ornaments had gone to 75% off yet?
She said no but they will be at a very low price on Saturday.
So Saturday I got to the store before it opened and sat on a bench outside the door.
There was two tables but nothing on them but then the manager and her helper came out to put tablecloths on the table and they said you can go inside that we are not going to put the ornaments outside and the lady inside is putting the ornaments on the shelves right now.
So I was the first one in the door and I was to be looking for Snoopy Scout reading story to little Woodstock scouts by tint and they had 10 of them.
My husband wish to give them to his scouts for next Christmas.
The good news was all the 2009 ornaments they had left were 99 cents.
So I got a full shopping bag of Hallmark ornaments for $25.00.

I came home to make lunch and my boys and grandson came to eat with me, when I got a phone call from the other Hallamrk store that I had called them back some time ago asking if they would let me know when there ornaments would be 75% off will she said they were now 99 cents.
So after lunch we all went to Hallmark store and they even had one Magic Express left that I bought and when it had come out it was $28.00 so that was a real good buy.
So I did buy some other ornaments.
I think this sale was a one day thing being their other store was having a sidewalk sale.

Oh my gosh, I would have totally lost control and bought way too much. I've NEVER bought new ornaments for $.99! I love the ornament, A Spooky Story too. Our youngest son went through the scouting program from Tiger Cub to Eagle. The camping ornaments carry special meaning for us. Lucky Scouts!

After much thought, I decided to pick up a copy of the new book, Hallmark A Century of Caring. I began reading it last night. It's beautifully bound, well written, and interesting so far, but I'm only 12 pages into it.

While there, I also picked up some items at 75% off: some really nice braided jute cord; a light string adapter; and for the grandchildren next year, the last two copies of the children's book, "If You Were Santa...A Very Merry Ho-Ho-Holiday". http://cgi.ebay.com/HALLMARK-IF-YOU-WERE...=item25580d8802

I then spent the rest of the day finding really good deals on eBay. I found one auction selling the Yuletide Treasures Reindeer for $2.89 each. Four were still left this morning. I already have two sets of Yuletide Treasures. This ornament looks fabulous on the tree. Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120518809124&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

In addition to lots of great deals, I also found a beautiful ornament to add to my Christmas Window theme tree. Here's a link to a picture of A Christmas Eve Story (1998) by Becky Kelly http://cgi.ebay.com/1998-HALLMARK-A-CHRI...=item19b8025597
