I know it's not good board etiquette to post for sale ads on the discussion board but...

There is a Yulelogger's local club pin for sale. If you go to the B/S/T board, on the first page of May for sale posts, you can see a picture and get the information on how to order.

--I'm not doing the selling but, given what it is, I thought it might get more traffic posted here.

My local club, Forever Friends, Sold all rest of the Yuleloggers lapel pins for me today.


All 20 pins are sold= $100 to our club. YEAH!!!

Any info on how many pins are left for sale? Just a rounded number is fine, doesn't need to be exact. What sort of range are we looking at? 50? 100? 200?

Diana: In another post--in the club forum, Lori says there are just over 500 pins to sell and we need to sell about 100 of those to break even.

I was lucky enough to get invited to "The Museum" here in town.
Lee has what I would call a tinker toy tree that she has all her Fisher Price ornaments on.

So, of course I contacted Hasbro and they said they never produced this, was wondering if anyone has seen this or know where they were sold? Who manufactured it etc, I REALLY want one!

I have googled it, etc, no luck, and will not rest until I have one.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Don't know if it's the same as what you saw, but Hallmark actually made a small Tinkertoy-like tree for Easter one year. I had to have one, it was really darling. It's not quite the same as Tinkertoys, but pieces together much like the toys. Here's a picture from Nicki's site:

Lee will have a display there. You might recognize some things that you saw at the museum, but if you're like me your memory is so overwhelmed when you leave the museum that you could see things again and they seem to look like you've never seen them before.

I was overwelmed, and even went thru twice!
I've been to the warehouse sale several times, It's always a blast!

Now to just find all the Fisher Price ornaments that I missed!

I was looking online last night, and Fisher Price has actually done some nice ornaments, Not Hallmark, but still look nice, have to see them up close.

I would like to see Hallmark do some of the other "old toys"
like Lincoln Logs, those little green army men from Toy Story, etc.

I'd go for those, too!

Thought I'd write something and bump this topic since it hasn't had any postings in well over a year. I'm curious, has the club ever broken even on the purchase of this pin fundraiser? (I think last I heard, 100 more needed to be sold back in 2010 to break even.) How many are still for sale? Or have they sold out and this topic can be removed from being pinned (pun intended) to the top page?

LOL! Diana, I think we ordered way too many that year, but you know - hindsight. I don't know right off hand how many are left, but plenty. Pins are not as popular as they were for awhile. And, there is so much going on at the events, that pins sales get bumped down to the bottom of the to-do list. We do continue to sell a few here and there.

Maybe this would be something to bring up in the meeting room next month?

Yes, we still have pins. It's the one of the beaver and woodpecker that is based on the 2007 Beaver Bob's Yule Log.

I'll need to check current postage costs. Sorry I can't do this until Monday or Tuesday. I'm about to be gone for the weekend.
