Okay we are on a mini vacation in GA. We are only 4 hours from Disney World. I am trying to talk my hubby into going. So he said to look up the ticket prices. WOW for 3 of us it would be $226. I think that is + tax. I thought maybe they would be a $100. Anyways, do any of you know of any discounts we can use? I really want to take our son. He turns 4 on the 20th. Any info you might have would be great!!

Thanks so much for your time!! \:\)

When I was in Orlando for the 2005 Hallmark Event, I really wanted to go to Disney but was shocked at the ticket prices as well. I was telling the hotel manager about it (sweet gal who I am still thankful for) and she recommended me to do one of those timeshare tours. I told her there was no way we were going to buy and she convinced us that we didn't have to. I was really hesitant but my boyfriend and I bit the bullet and gave it a try. We were there for about 2 hrs and actually found it really informative. They knew we weren't going to buy and so did not give us the really hard sales pitch. We got 2 free tickets to Disney and had the best time!!

Now I wouldn't recommend it for everyone but if you are brave enough and have a couple spare hours then go for it. They have the timeshare booths all over Orlando so its not hard to find one. Many of the cheaper hotels (motels?) have booths set up in their lobby as well. Its definitely not for everyone but if you really want cheap/free tickets its worth a shot. Good Luck!!

You can look at mousesavers.com. They usually have more hotel room discounts than ticket discounts. I bought my annual pass from Auto Club South(AAA) this past year. It was the cheapest that I could find. You can check their website to see what they are selling daily tickets and park hopper tickets for. Finally, I would check Mouseplanet.com and read the column, WDW Park Update. They usually list the latest Disney discount.

The reality is that Team Orlando usually does not offer ticket discount for its four parks in Walt Disney World. If you come west, Team Anaheim offers plenty of ticket discounts for its two parks.

The above link will give you the ticket discount information. I would call AAA, COSTCO, and your local credit union to find out the latest ticket information, if you are a member. I have often found better ticket discounts by going to these sources.

The early return home paid off. I got the job!! I'm so excited! Even thought I cut our little vacation short. Maybe next year we can go.
