Last night and this morning, when I attempted to get onto Yulelog, I was transferred to a webring website. This morning, after multiple attempts to get onto Yulelog directly, I had to click on a link on the webring to access Yulelog. What's going on with the Yulelog website?

Lisa,
I've had the same thing happen to me, so I just retype the yulelog site. Maybe we need to clear our cache. Thanks for listing this topic-I thought it was just me

The same thing has been happening to me. Clearing my cache didn't help.

Anyone else seeing that behavior? It seems to work fine for me...

Do you use a bookmark link? If so, what is it?

Does the same thing happen if you go to http://www.yulelog.com and click on the Talk To Us button, or use the pull down menu link to the Bulletin Boards?

It is working fine for me. A couple of days ago (can't remember exactly when) I couldn't access the site, but Todd fixed that problem.

Hey Todd,

Yes, it's been working fine again since I initially posted.

Specifically, when I attempted to get on Yulelog a number of times last night and then again this morning by typing "www.yulelog.com" into my browser window, I kept getting transferred to the "Ornaments Online Webring" at http://hub.webring.org/hub/ornonline sometimes before I had even moved my curser.

I use Internet Explorer. Each time I use it, I am automatically taken to http://my.yahoo.com/ then I type "www.yulelog.com" into my browser field. My computer automatically types in the "http://" for me after I click on go.

I thought perhaps it was me typing and clicking too fast, but I slowed down and paused at each step to make sure I was doing it right. The problem continued. After three trys, I had to click on their link to your website. Does it cost you money when I'm forced to use their website to access your website?

Also confusing to me is that their home page is a ".com" address and their "Ornaments Online Webring" page is a ".org" address.

I guess my only concern is whether or not this is a potential problem for Yulelog (or me). Let me know if I haven't given you all the information you need to better understand what was happening Todd.

I rarely have problems here, so this has been most unusual. Thanks for all your work to keep everything running smoothly here.

It happens to me also.

I just go through my favorite places a second time again and then it works.

I would really hate it if I couldn't check in with you folks every day.

All of the people here, are like family to me now.

Although I have not had problems accessing the board, the number of new replies (the little red number in parenthesis next to the total number of replies) for each topic occasionally adjusts to include posts I have already read.

I just had problems again. I used the bookmark and had problems. I typed in the address - still got the webring thing. The curious thing this time was the Yulelog main page would come up and when I clicked the down arrow to get to the bulletin board page it would instantly change to the webring page. I finally went to Google and typed in Yulelog and got in that way with no problem. Weird!! The address of the webring page is http://hub.webring.org/hub/ornonline

Sue, this is continuing to happen to me too. Tonight I had to type the http://www.yulelog.com address three times to access the site directly.

I had problems today getting onto Yulelog. I used my bookmark and I typed in the URL. Neither worked - repeatedly. I finally shut down everything for about an hour and then came back and voila! I'm here.
