A couple of months ago I came across these four ornaments at a yard sale. While I haven't found a Hallmark logo on them, they are obviously Hallmark. I have Hallmark pins of all of them and ornaments of two of them. Anyone know anything about them? Are there others? The second picture shows the reverse side and the holiday messages they have. GREAT find. You found all 4 of the Wood-look disc Hallmark Trimmers. They sold for $2. each when they came out in 1984-1985. I need the Koala with candy cane to complete my set.
Each of the 4 designs was also used on Hallmark lapel pins.
There is another group of 4 that look the same except they have a glitter disc. They are just a little bigger. A Jack in the box with white disc, snowman with wreath on green disc, white mouse with bell on red disc, and redbird on white disc. These came out in 1987. These four designs were also used in Hallmark lapel pins. I need the red bird to finish my set.
I love the older trimmers. I think they look great especially the cute way you have them displayed.
EDIT TO ADD: I believe Hallmark is stamped into the plastic on the back near the bottom on each trimmer.

Susan, Thanks for all the great information. I don't know how much luck I will have finding the other four but at least now I know what to be looking for. Best wishes to you in finding the last two that you need. And, I felt so simple when I took another look at them and found the Hallmark logo is so plain to see at the bottom (and I got new glasses in April!!). ;). And I could see a 1984 date on all of them. All I can say is that we keep our blinds and curtains closed in the summer and our lighting is very poor.

I'll print a copy of this off to share with Lee Schooler of the Lee and Dean Musuem. She always enjoys details like this story and she'll enjoy seeing what you've found.

I have the Koala and the Santa. I'm glad you brought this topic up as I had no idea how many there are/were.
I found my during room hopping at the 2011 event. You never know what you'll find during room hopping!

Over the weekend I found 3 out of the 4 of the 1987 version.
Paid .25 each. I will try and post a picture if you like to see them.

Nancy, Lee probably has them!! Ha! I know - but sometimes it's fun to hear "I have (insert number) sets of these..." and "I have mine on display..."

My mom has both the santa and drummer boy. I would love to buy the drummer boy for my own personal collection!
