We're down to about a week and a half before we should see the first of the Disney sketchbook ornaments arrive on the Disney Store website (usually shows up a day or two after Labor Day).

So, what do you hope to see this year?

I always want characters I don't have, so here are my top 10!

1. Prince Adam (Beauty and the Beast)
2. Tarzan (any character from this movie, please)
3. Trusty (Lady and the Tramp)
4. Vanellope (Wreck-It Ralph)
5. Fairy Godmother (Cinderella)
6. Elsa (Frozen)
7. Captain Shang (Mulan)
8. Oliver (Oliver and Company)
9. Robin Hood
10. Wendy (Peter Pan)

I would take anyone from Wreck-It Ralph, personally.

I really can't believe they haven't done the Fairy Godmother yet.

Any of those work for me since I'm even further behind than you on collecting characters. Although I think I do have Wendy in the Peter Pan Storybook set.

I'm looking for mostly characters from the classic older Disney movies, but I would be interested in anything book background style if they started making a few that way.

They're ARRIVING!

http://www.disneystore.com/sketchbook-ornaments/mn/1014405/?catalogFromSearch=10002

So far, I like the White Rabbit, Casey Jr., and Captain Hook with Mr. Smee. I'll wait until the rest show up before I make my final decision, and I hope that they have a 2 for sale again. But, I have a feeling that the White Rabbit will be a yes...

Apparently they're going to reveal new ones every week. This week is the Classic Films. Though...how "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" fits into that...I'm unsure (unless they mean the time period the film is set in). I would have defined Classic as the Walt Disney years.

Some of those are very much like what Hallmark's doing next year (Mrs. Jumbo with Dumbo and Jessica Rabbit).

This year, they have a Disney Store online exclusive, which is Tinker Bell dressed in red, sitting on a pale pink flower. I'm thinking the in-store one is the one on the banner.

Bernard and Bianca on the Devil's Eye is back for those that missed it a couple of years ago!

Oh, and this one popped up yesterday:
http://www.disneystore.com/flamingo-ornament-fantasia-2000/mp/1337554/1000344/
It's the flamingo from "Fantasia 2000." Kind of cute, but he needs his yo-yo. That's a Disney Parks ornament.

None are jumping out at me as must haves, but we'll see what I think on a second look.

I believe we've seen that Alice before. I want to say last year, but I could be wrong on that.

Yeah, the Alice one and the Pinocchio one are from last year's collection. It's weird that I know that and didn't buy either. I could probably be accused of stalking the Disney Store website...that cast member pop-up thing happened the third time I went to the page. wink

The Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo one is from a different scene than the Hallmark one, so they are different. The Disney Store one is from the beginning. See how Dumbo's ears are folded back?

But it's weird how similar they are to the Hallmark ones. The Jiminy Cricket one is a light clip, just like Mickey's Christmas Carol #4.

This one?
http://www.disneystore.com/figurine-mrs-potato-head-and-mr-potato-head-ornament/mp/1293695/1000344/

Yeah, that's from the Disney Parks ornaments collection. The Disney Parks ones tend to be more expensive than the Disney Sketchbook ones. I bought a Parks ornament from the online store last year and they just ship them in bubble wrap. Blah. At least the Sketchbook ones come in boxes with foam inserts. Just noticed that the Tinker Bell ornament is more expensive than the other Sketchbook ornaments. Not that I want a Tinker Bell ornament, but that's not good. Could mean they won't do the 2 for deal. Granted, last year's 2 for only saved...$1 or $2 if you bought them in pairs, so it was almost not worth doing. And when they did a deeper discount, at least half of the ones I bought in October were sold out. The suckers go fast!

Did some closer looking at some. Casey Junior lights up and uses 3 LR44 batteries. It's an on/off switch on the bottom instead of a button like Hallmark uses (drains batteries faster if you don't turn it off).

Looks like the next collection will be a Disney/Pixar collection. There not showing them yet, only a Buzz/Woody Toy Story pic.

Weird that they already changed the banner a day after putting them up. That Toy Story one is a repeat. The 4 sketches represent ornaments too, so it looks like Sulley in his OK sweater, Boo, and Lightning McQueen.

Hopefully they'll make that same mistake every day this week and just keep changing the banner, showing the different "collections" in preview.

Edit: Oop! They caught the banner mistake. It's back to the Classic Years banner. But, the Toy Story one was the one like High-Flyin' Friends. The others were just drawings of what I described, and I feel like Lightning McQueen was a repeat. Gotta love repeats! Hey, they're awesome because if you have them, you can skip them, and if you missed them (like Bernard/Bianca, folks!), you can buy them.

Okay, today when you search ornament, they actually have a full banner up of a mom and daughter hanging ornaments on a tree. Right above the girl's arm, you can see an ornament of Peter Pan catching Wendy. I checked ebay, and that one doesn't come up, so I think that's a new sketchbook design. At least, I hope it is.

Told you, I'm obsessed and have been stalking the Disney Store website.

Thank you for saying Bianca and Bernard!! I've been looking for that one ever since I missed it at our local Disney Store and all the others were sold out! I also have been checking the site every few days, but I got caught up with something else and hadn't checked this week yet.

It's weird tho, you have to look at several things having to do with Christmas to see all of the orns they have! I first checked "Christmas Ornaments", which seems like the obvious choice, not there, I then chose "Christmas Decorations" or "Christmas" and it was there! It's also there is you say "Bianca", but that one's too obvious.

The other interesting thing is the price is $2 cheaper than when it was released years ago! When it was out before, it was $14.95, instead of $12.95! I wonder why the difference, but I'm not complaining! I have an online credit with them that's been burning a hole in my pocket, ever since they botched my last order, a few months ago.

Do you know when they go on sale online? I want to make sure I get the Devil's Eye this time and there are some others I want, like Figment and a couple of the Alice orns.

Thanks again for the update!!

I hope they go on sale. Last year, they were $10.50 each and were 2 for $20, so they are $2.45 higher than last year.

The 2011 ones were 2 for $16 (can't remember the regular prices). I'd settle for 2 for $20 again.

Glad that they re-issued the Bernard/Bianca ornament for you, Karen! I'm hoping they'll reissue the Si and Am ornament for me. *crosses fingers*

The artist who did them worked on "Hercules," "Tarzan," and "The Emperor's New Groove." Ornaments for those would be a "yes please!" Granted, I have the Hallmark Hercules ornaments, so I'd rather have something from the other two. When you click on the info about the artist, it does show another ornament we haven't seen: Winnie the Pooh on a balloon.

They also brought back the logo charms. I haven't seen those in years.

I see these other sketchbook ornaments:

Captain Hook and Mr. Smee in a rowboat
Jiminy Cricket next to a candle
Alice in Wonderland in the bottle (that made her smaller)
The White Rabbit with his watch
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Baloo
Pinnochio in the cage
Tinkerbell on Flower
Roger Rabbit and Jessica
Bernard and Miss Bianca
Sorcerer Mickey Mouse

I like most of these!

Okay, now that the attack of the bots happened, this one sunk a bit.

But, the Disney-Pixar ornaments for the sketchbook collection are up. I wasn't impressed. The Mike and Sulley one would have been much better if it was a regular figure piece instead of shrunken figures surrounded by glass. Bigger would have shown off the characters more. Because when you zoom in, they look odd. It's a very cute idea though.

I'm thinking they are categorizing "Brave" as princess instead of Disney-Pixar. Hopefully they'll have Merida with Elinor.

Any guesses on next week's preview? I'm thinking Mickey and friends or Princesses.

As of 9am Eastern time, there is nothing new in the Sketchbook ornament section on the Disney site.

Last week I did notice when you look at the Steamboat Willy ornament, it shows Prep & Landing and Brave Bears Sketchbook ornaments.

I'm a little sneak and figured out that tomorrow, the Princess and Friends line will be up. How? I copied the image location of the current Pixar banner, pasted it into another tab, and I noticed they named the image by the date, so I changed the date to tomorrow's date, and voila!

To prove it, it is 10:37 PM EST on 9/9/13, and tomorrow's banner will feature Ariel with a Prince Eric statue. The three sketch images are: the Ariel/statue, Mulan in fighting stance, and Snow White kissing Dopey. At least I think it's Mulan in fighting stance...Eric's statue head is in the way.

Okay, the Ariel/Eric thing is freaky since Hallmark is doing the same thing next year! Mrs. Jumbo/Dumbo reminds me of next year's Hallmark piece too. WEIRD!

Can't wait to see them tomorrow! Especially the Mulan one (since, well the Ariel/Eric one is like Hallmark's and Snow White/Dopey is a reissue).

It seems like they often repeat one another. Or should I say Disney copies good ideas from Hallmark. Because I would guess they got approval from Disney for next years designs at least a year ago. Just guessing.

Thanks for keeping track of this. Since today's Monday, I would've thought they would've added it today, but I'll check it out tomorrow!

I'm still surprised there are some orns there that came out a few years ago, case in point, the Buzz/Woody under the ear hat! I bought that orn 3 yrs ago and it's still there!

Disney has some stuff they sell out right away. Others, they keep producing as people keep buying.

I collect the Disney pins, and there are some I can buy today that I would buy 6 years ago. Others have come and gone since then, so you never know.

My friend says when it comes to Disney, you buy it when you see it if you like it. That's pretty much my philosophy, too.

Okay, the princesses and friends ornaments are up. Only 3 are repeats (out of 9): Snow White with Dopey, Dopey going up the steps, and Gus and Jaq on the slipper.

Of the 9 new ones, I really like the Aladdin one with Aladdin getting ready to rub the lamp. It's nice to see them using Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Mulan because they aren't used as often. Hallmark can take a note that they did not have to resort to using Rapunzel in this particular part of the collection (since Hallmark seems to believe Rapunzel must have a boring ornament every year just featuring her and sometimes Pascal). I may get Aladdin and maybe the Flounder/Sebastian one since I don't have a Flounder ornament.

Notice the banner does not say to come back next week for another part of the series. I'm hoping that this isn't all of them. It's less than 30. frown

The Ariel and Pocahontas are maybe's, but still no must haves.

I do like the Mickey & Pluto that is shown in the banner when you search for "ornament", but I don't see that one offered for sale...yet.

Here are the ones I'm interested in, from what I can tell from the photo. I may wait to see what they look like in the store first.

1. Bernard & Miss Bianca - gotta have that "diamond"!!
2. Merida - want to see, to compare to Hallmark and other Disney orns of her
3. Alice in the teapot - Alice is my all-time fave
4. Figment! My favorite from WDW
5. Hook & Smee - so far, I only have Peter and Tink, since the last time they released orns, all in the store were broken in some way!
6. White Rabbit - Cute figural

Even tho Alice is my all-time fave Disney character, I'm not liking the weird Alice orns, so I'll pass on those.

Does anyone know when they'll be in the stores and when they'll be on sale, online or in stores?

There are definitely more sketchbook ornaments coming! (spoilers from a bored person)

List of Sketchbook ornaments 2013 that I found images for on the Disney Store site (none are "live" with links, so it's not that easy to find them. Takes a bit of work):

Mickey and Friends:
Mickey Mouse (Mickey dressed as Santa with a bag of toys standing next to a chimney)
Mickey Mouse (red glitter shorts, holding a candy cane)
Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy (in a hot air balloon that is Mickey's glove)
Minnie Mouse (wearing red wintry outfit and holding a purple gift)
Minnie Mouse (in her pink polka dot dress with shopping bags)
Donald Duck with Huey, Dewey, and Louie going downhill on a sled
Goofy on skis
Chip and Dale (on a large acorn that is actually a jingle bell)

Pooh and Tinker Bell:
Pooh on a red balloon (adorable, you can see the sketch on the website if you click on the artist for the sketchbook series)
Tigger hugging Eeyore (look up the 2011 Winnie the Pooh movie's DVD cover. It reminds me of that)
Tinker Bell (sitting on something...a cork maybe?)
Tinker Bell (like the red .com exclusive, but it's the regular one where she's in a green dress sitting in a purple flower)

Walt Disney animated films:
King Louie and Mowgli (King Louie on his throne with Mowgli perched on the throne's arm. Mowgli has a banana peel on his head, complements the Baloo ornament)
Peter Pan and Wendy (if you search Ornaments, you can see it in the banner. He's catching her)

After Walt Disney animated films:
Lilo and Stitch (they're on the kiddie ride like this snowglobe kind of: http://disneysnowglobescollectorsguide.b...-snowglobe.html)

Fabric dress princesses (winter theme):
Ariel (pink dress)
Aurora (pink)
Belle (pink dress from "Something There" scene)
Cinderella
Jasmine
Rapunzel
Snow White
Tiana (green dress)

Nightmare Before Christmas:
Jack Skellington (reissue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-DISNEY-Hinge...=item1c3659de18)
Sally (reissue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIB-Disney-Sketc...=item4175faec24)
Jack and Sally (standing in front of a backdrop of Halloweentown drenched in snow, very nice piece)

Computer animated feature:
Dusty (from Planes)

Disney Channel cartoons:
Doc McStuffins (holding Lambie)
Jake and the Neverland Pirates (reissue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Store-Jak...=item1e7545c40b)
Perry wearing a Santa hat and draped over a wreath
Sofia

Marvel:
Hulk
Iron Man
Spiderman (upside down kind of like Hallmark 2005 Spiderman)

And no, I did not hack into the site. I just looked at the images they uploaded. Their images have numbered names, so I just change the numbers. I did not use a program or break into their site. I'm being very good and not showing the images to you guys. Even though I want to. But darn it, they're being so annoying with a small amount every week.

Hope you enjoyed what I found out. There may be more still to come. It's just what I could find.

For me, if these are the only ones (including what's on the site now), I would pick these:
1. Peter Pan and Wendy (well...Wendy was on my list of hopes for this year, so have to have it)
2. Aladdin and Abu
3. King Louie and Mowgli
4. Lilo and Stitch (so cute, if I had known about it last year, I wouldn't have bought last year's)
5. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee
6. It's between Pooh (even though I need no more Pooh, it's that cute), White Rabbit, and Flounder/Sebastian...though I'll probably skip Flounder/Sebastian. I like the Enesco ornament "Here Comes Santa Claws" better...

I'm wondering if these will be at the Disney store outlet. Their other store in the area is just so hard to get to. It might be just as easy to order online if someone would be kind enough to list the sales code like you did last year.

I decided to go through the site again just because I'm waiting for a sales ad to show up at midnight, and I stumbled across a three ornament set from "Frozen" of Anna, Elsa, and Olaf!

I'll have to get that set. Just in case Hallmark never jumps on the bandwagon. Hopefully the set isn't too expensive.

Yay! So much better prices than the 2 for $22 last year! Even though the individual prices are higher than last year!

Great detective work Luckdragon !!!

Now the decision on what to buy. Do I place one large order, or buy 4 or 5 now and 4 or 5 later???

I need to check how long the special pricing is on for.

The Hulk looks good, but do I wait for the 2014 Hallmark Hulk?

I like the Jungle Book, Mickey & Friends Balloon, Goofy Sking, Donald with HueyDeweyLouie, and the Tigger/Eeyore.

I was looking just last night, lots of "new" characters for the ornaments vs. the usual.

Also lots of very familiar looking sculpts in the regular characters that both Disney and Hallmark produce year in and year out.

I'll have to go back and look today. Just wish they didn't use that awful resin. Too heavy and many break before they even leave the store or the shipping warehouse for the .com sales.

I put in my order today.

Got:
Frozen Sketchbook set of 3
Lilo and Stitch (too cute to pass up)
Peter Pan and Wendy
King Louie and Mowgli
Aladdin and Abu
White Rabbit

I was going to go with Smee, but I really like the White Rabbit one. It's going to bum me out if Hallmark does the White Rabbit as a limited quantity ornament for 2014 (they've done a limited quantity Alice ornament every year since 2011). Maybe they'll do the Queen of Hearts instead if they do one. wink

Maybe I'll buy Smee later...

I've never had a sketchbook ornament arrive from the .com orders damaged. The ones you order online come in white boxes with foam inserts to protect them, so they are in good shape.

But, last year, my Rex ornament came with a broken ear off his Mickey Mouse ice cream:
http://www.disneystore.com/rex-ornament/mp/1293697/1000344/
Weird that the Disney Parks ornament that cost more was just wrapped in bubble wrap while the cheaper ones from the Disney Store were boxed. *shrugs* I didn't want to go through returns, so i just glued it back on.

Rex is a cute ornament, but I had some issues with it (besides the ice cream). 1 is that I wish they had used a sticker on his mouse ear hat of the MMC logo instead of just a dot of red glitter. 2 is that his left arm is sculpted against his body. For the price of the Disney Parks ornaments, I wish they were as detailed as the Disney Store ornaments. Last year (for example), I bought the Aristocats ornament:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Disney-Store...=item4ac9e118ab
And that ornament was soooo detailed. You cannot tell by stock photos, but their bodies are fully sculpted with tails and everything. It would have been easy to just do a flat black front to indicate the inside of the basket, but they didn't.

Yeah, they are heavy ornaments for the most part. But they give me characters Hallmark just doesn't do.

Got my ornaments today!

Reviews:
The Frozen set comes in a lovely box with satin lining. And it's not just a flimsy paperboard box with flaps. It's a nice box with a ribbon you pull to slide the inner box out. The box is lined in satin too. Really nice. The ornaments are closer to the traditional size of Hallmark ornaments, making them lighter in weight.

Aladdin and Abu - Abu's tail is painted metal to hold the weight of the ornament. Pose is good, size is bigger than I expected, but nice.

King Louie and Mowgli - Not as heavy as I thought it would be (it's still resin, so it has some weight). No paint issues. I really like the pose on both characters. Louie was my favorite in that movie when I was little (yes, even over Baloo, and I loved "TailSpin"), so it's nice to finally find an ornament for him.

White Rabbit - Bigger than I thought. I think I'm used to Hallmark, especially that Mad Hatter/Alice ornament. Really great sculpt though. And as I'm typing this review, a commercial for "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" is playing. Nice when the little things coincide.

Lilo and Stitch - Holy cow, this ornament is HEAVY! It's a solid lump of resin. It's really, really adorable and is my favorite of the ones I got because I love the scene it's from. It's just so heavy. If Hallmark had done it, it would have been better, but I think Hallmark is done with "Lilo and Stitch." I'm still baffled that they just did 1 ornament. I remember going to WDW in 2005, and they had a huge "Lilo and Stitch" section of their Christmas store, and this was a couple of years after that movie. Remember how wildly popular that movie was? Sequels, a successful cartoon, etc. And the Hallmark ornament sold out early too. So weird that they never bothered to do another. Reminds me of "Wall-E." They did one that sold well and then nothing. Until the limited Eve (who also sold well, I think). Maybe they'll add that to Disney/Pixar soon.

Peter Pan and Wendy - Unfortunately, Wendy's eyes look weird to me, just like in the site's picture. *sighs* I was so hoping that she wouldn't be. One could say it's just her expression from being dazed. Maybe she's making that expression in the movie...hmm...I should dig out the DVD and check...

I was disappointed when I looked in my local Disney Store this weekend. They had pretty much the same ornaments they've had in years past, and I've bought the ones I was interested in before. None of the new ornaments they're selling in the store appealed to me. And I have a coupon I can start using tomorrow when I pick up my Little Mermaid Blu-Ray....

I took another look when I was in today, and they had Baloo! The guy who checked me out (yes, it was a guy), event commented they had just put him out that day. Hopefully that means a few more will trickle in for when I got to pick up Monsters U.

I didn't realize they had orns in the stores yet! I missed ordering the ones I wanted online, since I didn't know they'd go back to regular price so soon.

Do you know when they'll be on sale again? I know the store puts them on for 40% off at some point, but I don't want to lose out on Bianca and Bernard again.

The Sketchbook ornaments are on sale on the Disney Store website. All of them are $10 each if you buy 2 or more. Except the red Tinker Bell ornament (that's a disneystore.com exclusive) and the Frozen set of 3.

So, Bernard and Bianca count.

They may go on sale for cheaper later. Last year, when the ornaments went cheaper, they had sold out of all but 1 of the ones I bought when they were higher, so I don't wait. Last year, they were 2 for $22, so this year's deal is better.

Baloo looked cute to me, and I get that he matches King Louie, but I already have a Baloo Sketchbook ornament of Baloo with Mowgli. If you're already buying Baloo, Mark, I highly recommend King Louie and Mowgli.

Hopefully, they have that ornament when I go back for my Monsters University Blu Ray. When you pre-order, you get a coupon for $10 off any purchase or $20 off $40 or more. When you buy the next movie pre-sale, you basically get two ornaments free.

Of course, last year, I tried to use a coupon to buy Oswald, and they were sold out of him already, so I missed out on it.

After getting my flu and pneumonia shots at my GP's today, I stopped in at our local Disney Store. On the 2-$10 hanging rack were lots of the orns I wasn't interested in.

But I did find 4 that I wanted - Merida (even tho I have the Hallmark orns, this one is really beautifully painted), Roger Rabbit and Jessica (didn't plan on this one, but the sculpt on this was really good and I don't have any RR orns), Bianca, Bernard and the Devil's Eye and Lilo and Stitch.

The handy thing about these orns is that 3 of them has a base, so they can stand on their own. So I don't have to hang them on a tree!

They didn't have the other orns I was interested in (White Rabbit, Hook & Smee, Alice in the teapot), I asked and the girl said she was sure they'd be getting more in soon. I was surprised at how HUGE the Chip and Dale acorn is!

Since I missed out on the free shipping sale a few weeks ago, I would go to my local Disney Store in the Ocean County Mall and buy them off the rack... Turns out I no longer have a local Disney Store... they closed up over the Summer.

Anybody know if a free shipping sale is coming soon ???

Check them daily for free shipping offers. They will do it for $75 or more every day, and some times they'll have it free if you buy a Disney Parks item. Some of the non-sketchbook ornaments are Disney Parks.

Little tip for Disney Parks authentic ship free: If you are spending between $25.01-$74.99, get a Disney Parks Authentic tote bag in your order. They are $4.95, so they are less than the shipping price for that price range and will give you free shipping. The only one currently is a Christmas Mickey one.

Thanks for the code alert.

Any in particular anyone was really disappointed in once they received it in hand? I have several in my cart that I plan to buy this afternoon.

Also, does anyone remember the 2014 ornament we saw a peek of at the Comic Con via photos someone posted here of Jessica Rabbit, did the Hallmark have Roger in the sculpt or just Jessica?

Thanks!

I stopped by the Disney store to pick up Monsters University tonight and use my coupon. Pre-ordered Planes and bought the Hook and Smee ornament and one with Aladdin, Abu, and Carpet. I don't remember seeing that second one before, and I really like it.

The ornaments were buy two for $8 each, too, so it was a very good deal.

I thought the quality on these, even though a resin material, were really quite nice. They must use a mixture that is easier to mold and paint than Hallmark does.

I bought more than I intended (especially after a cast member pointed out to me that Jiminy Cricket's candle lights up). However, they didn't have the White Rabbit, Lilo and Stitch, Hook and Smee, or Ariel and Prince Eric. I'm debating trying another store, or saving the time and gas and just ordering online. I like to buy in the stores as then I can pick the best paint job, but it might not be worth the effort, especially since these are pretty decent across the board, with only a few glitches here and there. I'll have to look up where another Disney store is before deciding.

Forgot to add that the cast member mentioned they are only getting one more shipment of these ornaments in, and then what's there on the shelves will be it. She said she meant to buy some last year but waited too long and they sold out of the designs she wanted, so she thought it a good time to buy now while there is a selection. (btw - I bought the last Pinocchio in the cage, and the 2nd to last Roger and Jessica Rabbit). We also chatted briefly about how it's really nice the ornaments are featuring characters/scenes/poses not often portrayed. She thinks they are outselling the generic Princess ornaments.

Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo sold out and disappeared from my cart before I could complete my purchase. I bought 2 Jessica & Roger, 2 Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head, 1 White Rabbit, 1 Alice Drink Me, 1 each of the Jungle Book, 2 Chip n Dales, 2 boxes of Christmas Cards AND Pixar Volume 2 of the Shorts BluRay DVD. smile

I'm really hoping Hallmark's Dumbo/Mrs. Jumbo ornament plays "Baby Mine."

Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo, Nightmare Before Christmas anniversary, and .com exclusive red Tinker Bell have sold out. Red Tink wasn't part of the 2 for $8.

I bought Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, Casey Jr., and Belle yesterday.

I had the park exclusive Mary Poppins in my bag (I've wanted Mary Poppins for SO long). Then during check out I couldn't find where to enter the promo code. I called the 800 number and they talked me through where to enter it (you have to check your bag, it's nowhere in the check out pages) and then when I did, all of a sudden I lost my free shipping because they said they no longer had Mary Poppins available and pulled it from my bag. Dang nabbit. So then I had to find another one or two ornaments to replace it (which made more sense than paying for shipping). I'm pretty bummed about missing Mary Poppins. I hope they release it again next year, maybe with Burt also. I do have the parrot umbrella from the live musical show, and just ordered the carpet bag and umbrella ornament, but still, I'd like Mary.

Thanks! I was able to get the Sketchbook ornaments that the store was sold out of:
White Rabbit, Lilo and Stitch, Hook and Smee, and Ariel and Prince Eric. The only one I'm looking for is the Mary Poppins (dressed in her Jolly Holiday white and red dress). Since they call it a Parks item, does that mean they sell it at Disneyland and Downtown Disney? Would they accept the 25% off coupon as well?

The Disney store in the mall has Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo. Let me know if you'd like me to pick up one for you, Deana (and preferably with another ornament to get the sale price). The 25% off is good this weekend.

I remember the Mary Poppins ornament last year, Diana. They tend to have the Parks ornaments for multiple years. I don't know about the coupon. It may be "Disney Store only..." Never hurts to try though.

Good luck!

I popped back in today to get a VIP bag at Hallmark and picked up the two Disney Mrs Jumbo ornaments for you at the nearby Disney store at the sale price plus additional 25% off.

They had just received their last ornament shipment of the season and were busy restocking the shelves. They received back in Ariel & Eric, Pinocchio, White Rabbit, and others that I ended up buying online. I just hope I receive mine in the mail in good condition.

When they send them via online orders, Diana, they are in individual boxes with foam inserts. They're much better packaged than how they are sold in stores.

Interesting to note, the Disney Parks ornaments sold online are sent wrapped in bubble wrap. They cost more than the Sketchbook line, but they are not as well packaged.

Sold out updates on disneystore.com

Red Tinker Bell is back. I promise, I was on the Sketchbook page when she was sold out, not the qualifying $8 ornaments' page. I remember seeing Frozen set of 3 on the page, so I was in the right spot. If you want her, she is a .com exclusive, but she's $16.95 (before the 25% off).

Anyway, current sold outs:
Aladdin and Abu
Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo
Flounder and Sebastian
Nightmare Before Christmas anniversary piece
Sofia the First
Tigger and Eeyore

I may regret changing Flounder and Sebastian to Casey Jr. But, Sebastian looked kind of evil, and I like the Enesco piece I've seen better.

Did anyone buy that Nightmare Before Christmas piece? It looked really neat online.

I'm excited about my Jessica and Roger Rabbit ornament(s). I watched it on some channel Saturday night even though I have it on DVD. I have a nice Disney snowglobe with them . . . and multiple pins in my pin collection. Not a whole lotta merchandise made for WFRR. Can't wait to get my order. I was tempted to order multiples, like a dozen, of the Chip n' Dale on the jingle bell. Loved the look of it but I just don't have enough ornaments to do one of my Alpine type or burlap bag type "country" trees with those and I don't think Chip n' Dale is what would go with my Linda Sickman Folk Art Americana but hey I was tempted. wink But some similar large jingle bells tied on with that "jute twine/rope" or whatever it is called would be nice. smile

Got my ornaments today!

Casey Jr.'s light is much brighter than I thought it would be. He's pretty cute.

Captain Hook and Mr. Smee is a great ornament. The size is closer to Hallmark sized Disney ornaments. And they really detailed it. You can even see Mr. Smee's feet!

Belle is just like the picture. I like that they did a winter theme for the princesses...even though some don't make much sense (Jasmine for instance).

Sell out list of Sketchbook ornaments as of 11/13 (.com):
Aladdin and Abu
Ariel and Prince Eric statue
Chip and Dale
Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo
Flounder and Sebastian
Iron Man
Mickey Mouse as Santa next to the chimney
Nightmare Before Christmas anniversary piece
Sofia the First
Spiderman
Tigger and Eeyore
White Rabbit
Winnie the Pooh
Woody and Buzz

Sketchbook .com sold out additions (11/18):
Dusty (Planes)
Mickey with candy cane
Minnie in Christmas red
Nemo
Tinker Bell red online exclusive

I stopped by the Disney store to pick up my pre-order of Planes, and that means I had to use my coupon, right?

I was hoping they would have Peter Pan and Wendy and King Louise and Mouglie (sp?), and they did.

However, they also had a really cute ornament of Dopey climbing the stairs in their cottage when Snow White was sleeping upstairs. So instead of buying two, I bought three. I didn't remember seeing it before either, but I loved it.

I hope someone can help me. I have some Disney ornaments from Hallmark. I go to signings, but I don't know who did some of them. Now I have checked some websites and found some information but not for others that I have. Any ideas?

Have you checked at www.hookedonhallmark.com? If the artist has been announced by Hallmark, the information should be listed there under the ornament details. (Click into the year, find the ornament and click on it to bring up the details.) But keep in mind, the artist on Disney ornaments is not always announced.

Yes, I checked HOH, The Ornament Shop, The Ornament Queen and several other Hallmark related sites. Last year I even asked a couple of artists. When I called Hallmark about this years Lightning Mc Queen that said it was an outside contractor, which I find hard to believe.

IF you haven't found the info yet . . . I'd highly recommend checking Nancy's lists she keeps . . . email her or PM her . . . she posts frequently on YuleLog so her info should be relatively easy to find . . . I do believe she has a Disney List with those that the artists are known, and of course not all are known but IF it has been made available she would be most likely to have it.

If you are a paid Yulelog club member, Nancy's list of Disney Artist ornaments (through 2011) is available right here in the club members section.
