I made it to the thrift stores tonight. Had about 10 minutes at each store before they closed. Found some pretty Christmas things including a white shirt that I spilled tea on as I was walking into the house. Hate it when I do that...washing it now.
I'll post a picture later of those items but was amazed to find a bag with three Harry Potter ornaments for $1.99. They are some of the most highly detailed miniature ornaments I've come across in a very long time. They were licensed from Warner Brothers by Enesco Group in 2001 - ("Mouse over image to zoom")...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harry-Potter-Del...=item3384950aaaWhat's interesting about them is that behind the miniature figurine is a mirror, and when you insert a miniature light bulb into the back of the ornament, a scene behind the mirror appears. It's a neat effect. Wish I could figure out a way to photograph it.
These ornaments - (the other is Harry flying on his broom) - are nice additions to my Harry Potter collection. Eventually I'll create a Halloween Harry Potter theme tree with them.

Edit: Found a completed auction that shows both ornaments and the lighting effect. Click on link, scroll down, and look at all five pictures - (also note the level of detail by the artist; you can't see it in the picture, but the fingers on Harry's right hand are beautifully shaped and separated; the entire hand is an 1/8" wide)...
