I am very saddened to have to let you know that my friend Diana has passed away this morning.
I don't know any details as yet and I am crying so hard that I can hardly type this.
I am so sad for her family.
I feel like this world is a much better place because of her unselfishness and of her giving so much of herself to others.
I kept hoping for a miracle for her but it was not to be.
The last few days had been very bad for her and she suffered greatly.
The only good thing about this is that she is not suffering now and is with God.
Mary

Diana was a fine person and had such great faith. She was an example for all of us.

I guess that I had better clarify and say that no, it wasn't Diana St. James since I received two letters thinking that maybe that is who I meant.
It was Diana C. (7of9) that I posted about here awhile back saying that she had cancer and the doctor had only given her about another month to live from when I posted and she made it a little over 2 months.
Diana did have a lot of faith that carried her thru all of this. She was better about it then her family and friends.

Mary, I am saddened to hear about Diana. I was cleaning out my Hallmark/Yuleloggers drawer and came across some early club papers. Diana was on the club's first Service committee. It sounds as though giving to others was a way of life for her. I'm glad she isn't sick anymore but my heart goes out to her family and friends.

Mary: I didn't know Diana, but I remember reading several of her posts on Yulelog. It's always sad to lose someone who has touched your life, even slightly.

Sending my sympahy to you and her family.

Mary, thank you for posting. I had seen lots of Diana's posts on the board, and sometimes tracked her bidding activity on ebay because she was SUCH a collector. She was really a great source of Hallmark collectible information, and had lots of unusual pieces that you don't see a lot. I only got to meet her once, at the Blue Springs store for the Signature Snowman signing. I'm happy to have met her, and am very sorry to hear of her passing.

The funeral was yesterday for Diana Chevalier and the visitation was the night before. Talk about sad.
Her children had to leave the visitation right after it started because they were so upset and then later, the oldest one came back.
The funeral was almost to much to bear with the kids so upset.
The husband had to stay strong for the kids sake but I am sure that he had his moments last night after everything was over with and he could let down. He was so appreciative that everyone came.
It was a nice service and several Hallmark Stores had their people there.
She had lots of friends and family.
She was well loved and I will as well as lots of others will really miss her.
Mary
