Yeah, I'm bored.

So, what Sketchbook ornaments are your favorites? Any you wish you had?

For my list, I've got a top 10 from my personal collection (excluding the limited pieces like Moments That Made Disney and Art of Disney Animation). Then, I have a top 5 of ornaments I'd love to have.

Top 10:
1. 2012 Ursula
This still surprises me. I'm not a big fan of Ursula or "The Little Mermaid," and I really didn't want an Ursula ornament on a glass ball, but as soon as I opened it, I LOVED it. The ball is gorgeous, the paint used on the character is amazing, and it's a perfect likeness. I kind of wish I'd bought the other three ball ornaments like this.
2. 2011 Chip and Dale
Best Chip 'n Dale ornament ever! It's from my favorite Mickey Mouse cartoon, so it has that going from it.
3. 2013 Lilo and Stitch
Love the colors, love the sculpt. Only downside is the weight.
4. 2012 Ben Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo
Even though Hyacinth Hippo's skirt is the wrong color, it's still a really nice ornament and perfectly balanced.
5. 2012 The Aristocats
The sculpt on this ornament is wonderful! The kittens even have their tails sculpted inside the basket.
6. 2015 Lady and the Tramp
While I love it for adding Joe and from being from my second favorite Disney movie, the details on this ornament are great, especially the other side of the door with the crates of fruits and vegetables.
7. 2011 Bernard and Bianca
The sculpt's great for two characters that aren't used much.
8. 2015 Beast
Awesome overall look and lightweight even though he didn't have the extreme hairstyle in the tub. The Beast is one of my all-time favorite Disney characters, and he's from my favorite Disney movie.
9. 2009 Pinocchio and Blue Fairy
Really nice look to this ornament. The Blue Fairy is flawless.
10. 2010 Peter Pan
Really neat ornament to have all three Darling children and Peter Pan flying around Big Ben.

Top 5 ornaments I'd love to have:
1. 2014 Sword in the Stone
I'm still sad that this wasn't released in the US. Maybe 2016. Maybe I should start posting on Steve Thompson's Facebook page...
2. 2010 Figaro and Cleo
So cute!
3. 2010 Si and Am
Flocked and adorable! Used to want it since I didn't have an ornament for the characters. Now, I do since acquiring the Storybook set for the movie, but the ornament still one I wished I had.
4. 2010 Beauty and the Beast
Favorite movie, classic look. Yes, I have several...probably too many of this couple, but I still want it.
5. 2010 Lucky and Rolly
I bought Sketchbook ornaments in 2007 at an actual Disney Store (bought Pongo and Perdita, Jiminy Cricket, and Baloo/Mowgli). I didn't buy any more until 2011 because the local store left, and I never bought anything from their website until 2011, so I missed what was, apparently, a really nice year for these: 2010 (was able to get the Peter Pan one from 2010 last year, so that knocked one of my 2010 wishes off the list). I love that it has the Kanine Krunchies box!

I need to look up the year released but here are a few of my favorites:

- Wall-E and Eve from a few years ago (2011???)
- 2015 Pinocchio & Geppa
- Lady & the Tramp (2012???)
- Mickey Mouse Club (balloon) (2013???)

Your terrific album of Sketchbook ornaments, Luckdragon, is going to make me drop some serious money on eBay catching up. Sure wish I would have started buying these Disney Sketchbook sooner. I have some early Princesses in the long dresses - but only because I saw a super sale (probably after Christmas) and got them fairly cheap. Although come to think of it, it may have been before the Sketchbook line technically started... In any case, I hadn't seen the other designs in those early years, and wish I had.

Favorites from my collection:

2008 Wall-E (only thanks to Luckdragon sending me a link to an eBay auction for it this past year...)

2015 Wall-E and Eve

2011 Chip & Dale (candle scene) (although I think mine is a later year...maybe 2013?)

2015 Beast in the Bathtub (Beauty and the Beast)

2014 Mary Poppins anniversary

2014 Elsa Singing (Frozen - sings Let It Go)

2015 Ariel (The Little Mermaid musical - plays Part of Your World)

2013 Bernard & Bianca (The Rescuers with diamond)

2013 Alice (in the Drink Me Bottle)

2013 Incredible Hulk
(this is the only Incredible Hulk ornament that I've ever really liked, apparently it is a hard character to do.)

and since Moments that Made Disney are technically slightly different, will add two from this collection to my favorites list:

2015 Moments that Made Disney - The Wonderful World of Color (Tinkerbell in the tv set)

2015 Moments that Made Disney - Saludos Amigos

Sketchbook ornaments I wish I had:

2009 Pinocchio and the Blue Fairy

2007 The Enchanted Rose (Beauty and the Beast)

2014 UK The Sword in the Stone

2011 Lady and the Tramp (spaghetti dinner)

2012 Frankenweenie

2012 Ben Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo (Fantasia)

2012 The Aristocats (Kittens in basket)

2012 Tangled Ever After (wedding)
2010 Figaro and Cleo (Pinocchio)

2011 Belle & Armoire (Beauty and the Beast)

2009 Dug and Russell (Up!)

2008 Philip and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

2012 Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

2012 Cinderella’s Castle

Sorry, I couldn't stop at just 10...

It is the 2011 Wall-E & Eve ornament, 2015 Pinocchio & Gepetto, 2012 Lady & the Tramp, and 2013 Mickey Mouse Club ornaments.

And how could I forget the 2013 Hulk, agree it's the only good one made.

And the 2012 Sleeping Beauty and Prince Ornament.

I literally just stumbled across that ornament about a week ago on ebay. I hadn't known it existed until then. If anyone out there ever sees it with a better picture, please let me know! I was ecstatic to find something I had never seen before! I didn't buy it because the starting price was around $50, but it looks great. The Sketchbook ornaments can be soooo expensive on the secondary market. I've been considering adding secondary market values to the album...

I had to restrain myself with just picking 5 that I really want. Enchanted Rose would be my 6th choice. wink I've tried multiple times to find it on ebay but to no avail. Sleeping Beauty Castle and that Phillip and Aurora ornament would be up there too. I could kick myself for not buying that Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella Castle when I bought the Tangled Tower. I almost bought the Sleeping Beauty Castle but changed my mind.

Edit: I'll add my top three favorite Moments That Made Disney.

1. Flowers and Trees
I just love the overall look of it.
2. Bambi
So beautiful! Shame that "Bambi" has very few Sketchbook ornaments. One from an early year, one from last year that wasn't sold in the US, and this one, which is definitely the best.
3. Snow White
Love, love, love it! I am a sucker for the couples ornaments. I still wish Hallmark would do a Disney Happily Ever After series of Disney couples. Not just princess/prince pairings either.

Art of Disney Animation still has a long way to go, but I think Ichabod and Katrina will probably be my favorite. It should be in my top three since I've wanted an Ichabod ornament for years.

I didn't really know about these until last year and being introduced to them on this site. The only one I've found from previous years that I would really want is the Cogsworth one from 2010. Hopefully with the rerelease of Beauty and the Beast next year they might make some interesting ones for next year. Mrs. Potts and Chip or the wardrobe or Gaston.

My favourite I've even seen is the Diana one from the Moments that Made Disney. Unfortunately they were not made available in Canada.
