Yeah, I'm bored.
So, what Sketchbook ornaments are your favorites? Any you wish you had?
For my list, I've got a top 10 from my personal collection (excluding the limited pieces like Moments That Made Disney and Art of Disney Animation). Then, I have a top 5 of ornaments I'd love to have.
Top 10:
1.
2012 UrsulaThis still surprises me. I'm not a big fan of Ursula or "The Little Mermaid," and I really didn't want an Ursula ornament on a glass ball, but as soon as I opened it, I LOVED it. The ball is gorgeous, the paint used on the character is amazing, and it's a perfect likeness. I kind of wish I'd bought the other three ball ornaments like this.
2.
2011 Chip and DaleBest Chip 'n Dale ornament ever! It's from my favorite Mickey Mouse cartoon, so it has that going from it.
3.
2013 Lilo and Stitch Love the colors, love the sculpt. Only downside is the weight.
4.
2012 Ben Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo Even though Hyacinth Hippo's skirt is the wrong color, it's still a really nice ornament and perfectly balanced.
5.
2012 The Aristocats The sculpt on this ornament is wonderful! The kittens even have their tails sculpted inside the basket.
6.
2015 Lady and the Tramp While I love it for adding Joe and from being from my second favorite Disney movie, the details on this ornament are great, especially the other side of the door with the crates of fruits and vegetables.
7.
2011 Bernard and Bianca The sculpt's great for two characters that aren't used much.
8.
2015 Beast Awesome overall look and lightweight even though he didn't have the extreme hairstyle in the tub. The Beast is one of my all-time favorite Disney characters, and he's from my favorite Disney movie.
9.
2009 Pinocchio and Blue Fairy Really nice look to this ornament. The Blue Fairy is flawless.
10.
2010 Peter Pan Really neat ornament to have all three Darling children and Peter Pan flying around Big Ben.
Top 5 ornaments I'd love to have:
1.
2014 Sword in the Stone I'm still sad that this wasn't released in the US. Maybe 2016. Maybe I should start posting on Steve Thompson's Facebook page...
2.
2010 Figaro and Cleo So cute!
3.
2010 Si and Am Flocked and adorable! Used to want it since I didn't have an ornament for the characters. Now, I do since acquiring the Storybook set for the movie, but the ornament still one I wished I had.
4.
2010 Beauty and the Beast Favorite movie, classic look. Yes, I have several...probably too many of this couple, but I still want it.
5.
2010 Lucky and Rolly I bought Sketchbook ornaments in 2007 at an actual Disney Store (bought Pongo and Perdita, Jiminy Cricket, and Baloo/Mowgli). I didn't buy any more until 2011 because the local store left, and I never bought anything from their website until 2011, so I missed what was, apparently, a really nice year for these: 2010 (was able to get the Peter Pan one from 2010 last year, so that knocked one of my 2010 wishes off the list). I love that it has the Kanine Krunchies box!
