Oooh, some of those ball ornaments are quite nice, particularly the two by Joanne Eschrich. Santa Snoopy Treat jar, which appears to have no lid, is cute. I don't eat cookies anymore, but I do eat nuts. smile

Thanks Stacey!

Thank you for posting these beautiful and fun peeks. I love the chocolate gift ornament. That glass egg is exquisite.

Aww! A finial tree topper. I have a red finial tree topper with gold snowflakes on it. Sadly, my new tree can't use it. It's opening is too narrow for my topper branch. I have a soft spot for finials because of that topper. I'd used it for years.

If it looks like it could work for me, I might buy it.

Thank you for the pictures!

Jersey, of the several pages of gift ornaments, that I quickly looked through, those were my faves. The grill is adorable and will make a nice gift for a few friends.

Luck, I have a finial topper that my husband and I bought for our first Christmas around 30 years ago. I still use it almost every Christmas. Every time I open it I am surprised it's made it undamaged. It's so delicate! It does have age spots but I still love it.

What? Just because I say it at least one a year (okay, fine, once a month) and then do the opposite you don't believe me?

Stacey, yes! Thanks so much for posting these pictures...it is so helpful to know what is going to be out there as soon as possible so we can plan what we are getting and firm up our resolve what not to get!

I've seen in magazines where a lot of those finial tree toppers are set out on shelves and look really beautiful used that way. But, I bet you've seen that, too....and finding excuses for not getting it. After seeing the prices for those Heirloom ornaments on Digitaldreambook, I know I won't be getting them before Christmas! I can't make out the prices on these glass ornaments that Stacey posted...can anyone else? I do have to say that they are all beautiful!

Thanks for the peeks!! The gold reindeer glass ball drew my eye right away, along with the red finial topper. Was wishing for one of those just the other day and one shows up. :-)

The red poinsettia tree skirt with gold embroidery looks pretty too. I need to see it first, but I may get it.

Sue, I so agree with you about how helpful the sneak peeks are for planning. I'll add also for back collecting.

I find that by May, if I haven't back collected an ornament that I know will spike in value due to the excitement generated by a new ornament, I have to pay a lot more for the back collected ornament on Ebay. The year I back collected the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Beauty of Birds series ornaments was painful. It could have been worse, but I missed the opportunity to get them for a good price by weeks.

As soon as I saw some of this year's sneak peeks, I immediately headed to Ebay. Not quite done yet, but almost.

I've also learned the hard way to not promote an older ornament on Yulelog unless I have it or have bought it, to avoid unwelcomed competition on Ebay. I lost an important auction recently because I made that mistake, yet again...

For those of you on Yulelog late at night like me, there are a lot of "guests" on this site. I recall seeing as many as 52 guests here at one point during the sneak peak this week.

I understand. If you point something out as what you intend to do with it and haven't gotten all you want yet, there can be competition. My first experience with that was with the age related ornaments...baby bear crawling, playing with package, helping bake, drinking cocoa, and hanging stocking. I realize others could have had the same idea at the same time but I do think I should have kept quiet about it a bit longer...like never saying anything or posting a quick picture while taking things down....lol!

And, about guests...sometimes I will just do a quick check to see if there is anything going on and I don't bother to sign in...bet there are other Yuleloggers do the same thing.

Sue, Diana was the one that got me started paying attention to the age 1 - 5 ornaments that featured the teddy bears. Was it you that posted the display with those teddy bears and the 2013 membership ornament, Busy Bakers? I love that display. Wish I'd saved a picture of it. Keep those ideas coming!
