Yeah...I'm not doing this one, but someone here might want to.
Link to buy all up front (you get 12 for the price of 11):

Link to start the subscription paid monthly:
https://www.disneystore.com/ornaments-se...422547/1000344/

I'm not a big Jiminy fan and really don't want that style of ornament encased in glass.

The annoying part is I'll have to remember to check ebay every month to get pictures of these for the Sketchbook album...

I would love it if they would do a subscription (especially the buy it all up front option) for the limited release ornaments.

Without knowning what they will include, I think I will pass.

BTW, you posted the same link twice. I'll have to look tonight to find the first one, I'm running late for work as it is.

Thanks for the heads up, however. I'm not surprised they are trying something like this with ornaments since they've been doing it with pins already.

Thanks for the heads up. I only saw the subscription page from your links, Luckdragon, not what the ornament looked like. Here's the first ornament in the series: http://tinyurl.com/howvg78

Those aren't real snow globes, are they? I mean, there is no water in them, right? Just glass? Or do you think they have water and floating stuff like snow or glitter inside? I'd be more tempted by no liquid filling as those always leave air bubbles at some point.

It's nice that the subscription comes with free shipping. Wish this would have been an option last year.

Whoops! I guess I copied the link twice.

Shame that they aren't a style I'd want because the sale event works on the expensive set. You save 25% off with the code "SAVEMORE."

Hopefully they aren't snow globes, Diana. It looks like they're just glass to me.

Sad part is, with Jiminy shown, it makes this kind of easy to guess who will be part of the series. I feel fairly confident that Mickey, Pooh, Olaf, Tinker Bell will make appearances. *yawn* If there is a really nice one in the series, ebay is always an option.

I'll say that they're nicer than the ear hats. Step in the right direction. I really want them to do this next August with whatever series replaces Storybook Classics, if there will be a series to replace it.

Yeah, not to big into "blind buys," especially at that cost. And, I agree, it will probably be all the basic characters of Mickey, Donald, Pooh, etc.. I have enough of those to cover a dozen trees!

With the free shipping, buy the set get one free, and then 25% off on top of that, the ornaments are less than $14 each and that's pretty tempting. But since I can't tell for sure if there is water in the globes I think I'll pass. Thanks for the info, though.

Yes, at that price it is interesting. But I have so many ornaments I never put on my trees that I should pass. (Whispers to self, "But I can review them....")

I just received the first one - Sir Cricket - and they are indeed small snow globes. it's really cute - though I didn't realize they were liquid filled. no idea where I'm storing these. They sure as hell ain't gonna like the attic come summer in LA!

Ooh! Can you please post each month which it is? So I can find them on ebay and add their pictures to the Sketchbook album I have:
http://s754.photobucket.com/user/luckdra...rt=4&page=1

I wish they hadn't made them snowglobes. Snowglobe ornaments do just like snowglobes and lose water. It would be great if people could pull a stopper and drain/refill the water. When I was a kid, we had three cheap snowglobes we always put out at Christmas. They were smallish and plastic, but each had a drain on the bottom. You pulled out the stopper and could pour the water out and fill it up again.

I didn't do the subscription for these. The limited monthly series is more than enough right now for me.

of course! I'd totally offer to take pictures as well if you need me to (though ebay would probably be much easier considering I can't even get my profile pic/icon/avatar to load - though I suspect that's more a forum thing and less a me thing.)

I agree. They should have just completely encased the characters (even adding random flecks of glitter into the mold) and it would have provided longevity and a similar effect. Not to mention - don't touch the ornaments on my tree! It's one thing if there's an accessible button that triggers music/action but to design an ornament that I need to shake to achieve full effect - we're gonna need to have some words!

I normally store my ornaments in the attic (which while not ideal has worked out fine being nothing I display has liquid in it - 12 or 13 of these are gonna be a pain to store separately) I'm guessing out of the 12 (or 13 - I don't remember how many are in the series) I won't be interested in a good 25% of them so maybe I'll flip them on ebay (*groan*)

Just got the new one: Bambi - it's super cute. As much as I know they're gonna eventually lose liquid - I do like them. They're going to look great on the tree - catching and reflecting the lights, etc.

Here's an ebay link for photos (re: LuckDragon - it's not my listing just figured it would be easier to just grab the pix from there):

Yeah, I got it off ebay, but thank you.

The March one's on ebay now. It's Belle with Mrs. Potts on the part above the snowglobe. Well played Disney...well played.

I'm not buying the ornament, but I'll give them credit for being the marketing geniuses they are.

Good for them being nice and creative with these. I still don't regret getting them since I really dislike waterglobe ornaments. If they had been just plain figurals, I might have done this subscription.
