Thanks Amanda for your help in getting around the Community, followed your instructions and could find what I was looking for.

How relaxing it is to stop in at YuleLog and know where I am! JK, sort of.

Wandering around Community reveals many places to go and things to see. I sense that setting up your preferences (groups, etc.) is key to enjoying the site, so for now I'm exploring and following and hope to start sharing soon. My avatar is Santa with a bay horse, and my handle is Barbara M.

I think it will be a great source of information, both from Hallmark and from collectors we're meeting for the first time!

They have fixed many problems/issues since the website started in December. I think their trying to be different from Yulelog, Facebook, and the DigitalDreamBook websites. I think by next Hallmark will work out the kinks.

I'm kind of lost on it, too. But, I think we'll learn and get used to how it operates. I remember when I first started on Yulelog how hard it was for me to understand. If I hadn't had my son to guide me, I might have given up before I got it figured out. Now, everything seems so easy, I just zip through. It's tough getting old and resistant to change. smile

I agree Linda, everything that is new requires a little time to adjust. The site seems a little disorganized to me and I find myself just wandering around but the longer I stay on it the better I will become. Or at least I hope so!

I also agree with you Barb that the information they are releasing there is really nice. I enjoy seeing the artist's sketches and the reveals they post.

I was a lucky winner with the Ken Crow Live contest. I didn't win the cuckoo clock but I won one of the three sketches. To be honest, I am thrilled with winning the sketch over the clock. I can purchase the clock when it is released but when will I ever have the chance again to get a Ken Crow autographed sketch?

A keep telling myself to give it time and as the fixes take place, the site will get better. It won't replace Yulelog for me but rather give me another site I can visit.

Congratulations! laugh I wonder which sketch you'll get...

They revealed another ornament on the cover today, the biggest smudge in the dead center! They didn't tell us the name or if it is a series or not (it's not related to any current series).

It kind of looks like a wooden pull string toy (think of the Yuletide Treasures series but more folk art). It's Santa on a reindeer, and the reindeer looks like it is dark teal and has patterns painted on its legs, neck, and antlers. It has a saddle and bridle details too.

I need them to reveal something I don't want. Darn it, every single ornament on the cover so far is one that I want (well, technically I'll only buy Mary's Angels for my mom's memory since she had several of them; I've mentioned it before that cherubs kind of freak me out, so I've never been a big fan of cherubs).

I have a problem, clearly.

Thank you everyone. I think that is the first time I have ever wished to "not win" in a contest. LOL He is such an amazing inventor and artist. It takes great skill to make such wonderful ornaments with the type of movements his entails.

I know it will be one of three posted of the Jingle all the Way ornament that is to be released so that one definitely has to come home with me. As if I need another reason to buy ornaments.

(Aloha posted a picture of Ken Crow with the sketches in the Jingle all the Way topic on this forum for those who don't have access to the community boards at this time.)

Just checked the Keepsake Com and there is another update to the DreamBook cover sneak peeks.

Mini Penguin.

Hope that means we will be getting our DreamBooks sooner then expected.

Thanks for the heads up, Stan. I was finally able to get through the labyrinth and find the original post! And the ornament is precious!

I ought to start a betting pool on when the first DBs will start arriving in our hands. I'm guessing end of April, only because quite a while back I saw that they would start shipping April 17th. I think it was on FB, maybe.

Posted somewhere: Non-KOC DreamBooks start arriving at stores in mid-April. The KOC DreamBooks should start shipping last few days in March and start arriving in early April.

I would love it if someone got theirs in March. I'll be happy with the first week in April.

Finding things is next to impossible on the Community. My time is usually limited. I would like to go in, check to see what's new, whether it's something that I'm following or not, and read what I'm most interested in. Then, if I have more time, I can come back to just bop around checking things out.

I'm guessing April 6 for the first KOC member Dreambooks to start arriving in the mail.

I love the second mini penguin. Much better than the first, to me.
