These last couple of months have flown by.

The hospital decided to sell the houses that formerly housed the non-profit I worked and volunteered for the last 15 years. When I got the news, I knew I needed to find a new home for Festival of Trees...and I did!

Festival of Trees is back. We already have 11 decorating teams. Hoping for just a few more. Decorator Day is November 30th. The Winter Wonderland Walk will be on December 1st and 2nd, the Gala on the evening of the 2nd.

We even were able to get our old venue back...the Crystal Ballroom at The Leopold. I'm excited!

I spent the entire day choosing 30 pictures from Festival of Trees 2015 to create a slideshow, but I can't upload them onto photobucket. The site was difficult to use previously, but it's worse now. After waiting more than 15 minutes to upload four photographs, I gave up.

I'm looking for a new website to upload photos so I can create a slideshow.

Would appreciate suggestions, also an idea of cost and ease of use.

Thanks!

Lisa

Does anyone use imageshack.com? They've been around since 2003 or 2004 and have a basic plan for $3 or $4 a month.

For my personal use . . . not really for posting . . . but I can share albums via email with friends & family . . . I use Shutterfly. Seems earlier I had them on something and that shut down and they were transferred automatically to something else . . . repeat again . . . and now Shutterfly and some of my photos from around 10~ years ago are still All There . . . for free.

Way back when for posting on boards . . . I had some photos on My Space. haha Anybody remember them? Photos still there and most time when I need to access them . . . I can barely remember my password. laugh

What format do you need? Can you use PowerPoint?

I use www.postimage.org. It is very easy to use and free. However, I do not know whether they support slideshows, as I do not use that.

Thanks 88eggs and Qwackertoo. Will take a look. smile

Thanks kindacowboy. Can I use PowerPoint for posting links to pictures and slideshows on forums? Or just to share via email? Looks like I don't have PowerPoint, or Microsoft Publisher even.

So you want a slideshow that you can link to from a forum or Facebook? Let me do some research. Does your Festival have a dedicated website or Facebook page?

I think people who want to view a powerpoint slide show either need to have powerpoint, or they need powerpoint viewer. It is a free download you can google to find. You wouldn't be able to create a slideshow with the viewer, you would need the full program.

They can be saved as an WMV file or a MP4 directly from powerpoint. I can do it quickly for her but it may not be of use if her event doesn't have a facebook page or website to host the video.

So I have finally found the site I was looking for with my research. I knew I had used one that hosted slideshows for you..

Kizoa.com

I don't really remember the time it took to upload. I do think it was significant though.

https://www.kizoa.com/slideshow-maker/d1121246k8286292o1/the-american-saddle-horse-museum Here is the slideshow I made with the site

Thanks kindacowboy. I don't have access to the site or sites for Festival of Trees. Will take take a look at Kizoa.com site too. I've been editing Festival of Trees documents all day so haven't gotten that far, but hope to tonight.

Thanks kindacowboy!

That's helpful information too toppershopper. Thanks!
