I love those flowers. Do you decorate the ice cream shop, too? Sorry to hear about your challenges with the sand. Looking forward to the final result. I love the sign colors:

The ice cream shop is the front of the tax office. It doubles as my ebay station in the winter. There is not enough room to decorate!

sadly I've only bought the first to of the series, I haven't been to the store to pick up any others. I do like the series and will probably just grab the rest in July at premier

By waiting to buy the Fairies you'll get the bonus points offered at Premiere for purchasing ornaments. I bought the Remembered with Love when I had a coupon instead of waiting for Premiere, but I think the coupon would have been a better deal.

They've been selling out here. They may not last that long.

I was kicking myself for not buying the Hallmark Garden Fair fairy lighthouse from last year. I think it was exclusive to QVC for a time and that particular house never reverted back to a Hallmark site clearance. It would be perfect with the new Friendly Fairies beach fairy. Well, lucky me, I was able to find one on Ebay for quite a bit less than the QVC price. It will be a cute display with the beach fairy for summer decoration.

That castle is perfect! I added the first layer of water today. I think it is going to look like a real beach! Would have saved myself some time had I seen that lighthouse first!

It arrived today and you can put lights into it. I have some fairy lights on order so I should get a picture by Tuesday. It is even cuter than the picture. Nowhere to get it retail now, so you have to go to Ebay. You can find it for a better than retail price if you wait.

There is a hole in the bottom, pretty large so you can wind some fairy lights into it or use one of those old time bulbs on a cord to nestle an incandescent into it. The windows are a translucent acrylic stone placed in a cut out along the walls of the lighthouse. It should produce a nice softly lit effect when a room is darkened. I will see tomorrow when my wire lights arrive. I paid 29.95 and no shipping. I see one is available on Ebay for 38.95, shipping free. If you want to wait, you can usually get a better deal. The 38.95 is still less than the original retail of 44.95 in stores and on QVC, probably closer to 50.

Well we went out of town and the water didn't dry quite how I wanted. It pulled away from the sides. I should have used a better quality cling wrap as part of the problem was the cling wrap came away from the sides. I added another layer. So will post pics when it dries.

Looking forward to pics of both of your displays. I still haven't seen the Beach Fairy and keep checking the 3 stores near me. Maybe my state has not received them yet.

Looking forward to seeing it lit Moley. Today, I was trying to figure out if it will fit on my desk if I can find a place for my birch trees... I'm holding off on buying Beach Fairy until the last fairy is released next month. It's hard though because this is one of my favorites.

kindacowboy, the display you're building looks and sounds interesting. Hoping you find a way to get the look you're going for. smile

Here are todays pictures. I had a bit of a catastrophe. I tried leaning the pan so that the "water" would be deeper like a real ocean and since I used the cheap cling the expensive water started leaking. I hurried to clean it up and find something to sit it on besides the tile floor of the office (OOPS) and figure out my next move. I brushed some of the wasted water on shells and such to make them shiny. Never let anything go to waste is my motto-especially when it is 17.00 a bottle! I tried all kinds of things but I think I will have to wait a few days for it to totally dry than try to remove it and caulk the cake pan. or maybe I will just caulk the bottom?

pics of today before the flood!

I didn't even think about the points I would get at premier for buying the ornaments then. when I last checked, my local store hand plenty of them. I'm hoping they don't sell out.

love the beach themed photos, super cute idea
