Thank you for that. I was trying to figure out what FP stood for. I love Fisher Price ornaments, too.

I would like to see more Disney especially from Moana and Coco. Can't wait to see how Hallmark develops in both the regular and B-line ornaments

I'd like to see more of the Star Trek B-line. I picked this one up last year from Walmart. I don't know if it was part of an exclusive between Hallmark and Walmart or not, but it was in one of those flimsy red boxes that fell apart when you take the ornament out. I love the way that Spock looks! I wish that they would continue them.

I do like that artistic look. Thank goodness I don't do Star Trek!

I was hoping the Disney store would do Arthur pulling the sword out of the stone this year, but if they don't I hope there is a Hallmark b-line version of that scene from The Sword in the Stone animated classic.

My closest Walmart put these out this weekend.

Kirk is the new ornament, they still have Spock too.

I passed by them at Wal-Mart the other day, but it's near the school supplies, so it was very crowded. Add to that that employees were also working in that area restocking school supplies. Spock was the only one I noticed and that was because when I walked by, I immediately noticed he was missing his right hand. lol I have to go back tomorrow to get a new printer since mine has sadly died off. Maybe I'll get a closer look.

Wal-Mart has B-line ornaments? Last year I found the bird at Walgreen. I was told all money earned goes to help the needy.

I passed on that Spock last year. I sort of like the cartooniest of it, as something different, but I figure it was something I didn't really need.
Now that there is a Kirk to go with it, hmmm maybe ....

I bought the Fisher Price Little People Noah's Ark from the B-line at Wal-Mart today. A lot of stuff seemed to be repeats of previous years, but I noticed a Thanos for Avengers fans. Wal-Mart exclusive was a flamingo. Not sure why...

This evening we ate at IHOP because I was craving pancakes. AND because the IHOP is located across the parking lot from a Walmart. (Tee Hee whistle )

Big disappointment to discover that Walmart didnít have the product out yetójust a big olí empty display.

LMAO. I didn't know what it was that felt off about it until I read your comment. Too funny. The sculpt looks good, I think it's the painting, which is done by hand, so you never know what the finished product will look like.

I will definitely be in search of that Porg. Want to check out a few more in person.

I like the look of the flat stuffies as well.

Why would they make a Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, but not Ron Weasley ornament? Those need to come in threes! I was hoping they'd have a couple of the fantastic beasts from the last movie. Oh well, maybe they will eventually.

btw is there a name for the style of the resin Harry Potter and Hermione ornament? You know, with the big heads and giant round black eyes, but little bodies? Is that still an Itty Bitty style, even though not plush and not decoupage? If not, what is it called? A couple of other places sold similar ornaments - I bought a Harry Potter set and a Nightmare Before Christmas set at either Hot Topic or Forever 21 last year that were similar to these.

I stocked Toys R Usís Hallmark B-line last year. The box they were in was marked decoupage. So, I call them decoupage.

Edit: Confirmed. Hallmark calls them decoupage. Here's a BB-9E ornament on Hallmark's website, and they've labeled it as decoupage: https://www.hallmark.com/ornaments/gift-...t-1QBY7485.html

I don't know what they are officially called but I think of them as chibis. Chibi is the word used in Japan when it is a small cartoon version (I think with a big head) of something else. My own definition of chibi.

I'm not sure I'd say that its Nichols Cage, but in collectors circles it's a popular statement to say that one of hardest likeness to capture is Harrison Fords.

How nicely your WalMart is organized. The one near me last year just had the ornaments placed haphazardly on a self in a corner of the store last year.

They also had some flat, metal superhero ornaments that were colorized. The silver outline is raised up and it looks like the flat areas were flooded with some kind of paint or enamel product.

My husband picked them up because they reminded him of some ornaments he had as a kid in the 70ís. I believe they are at a $3 price point. Because they are so inexpensive, he wants to buy a second set and see if he can use acetone or some other kind of paint remover to take them down to the bare metal to make them look more like the ones he had from when he was a kid.

Iím not sure if there were any other characters. These are the ones he brought home:

BATMAN - metal, flat, colorized

SUPERMAN - metal, flat, colorized
t

CAPTAIN AMERICA - metal, flat, colorized

SPIDER-MAN - metal, flat, colorized

Those superhero ornaments remind my of the "sun catchers" you could make at home from at least the 1970s and 1980s. You put the colored plastic beads into the metal frame, then put everything into the oven to melt the plastic.

The superheroes look like pins. I am sure they are bigger than a pin. They look well dome for $3. If I see them I will get them.

Itís interesting that you should mention that because thereís no rhyme or reason to how those ornaments will be displayed in stores. I guess itís just a management decision.

They have planograms. My store's set up is identical. Now, depending on how the store's layout is, the plan could vary, but what happens is that at Wal-Mart's headquarters, they'll have a team of people who figure out how to take an aisle and organize it, including peg spacing, shelf heights, etc. After figuring it out, they make the plan and upload it, releasing it to the stores with set dates. You all have probably seen these types of plans laying around at various retailer. I've been seeing them a lot recently in Hobby Lobby's Christmas area. I used to set aisles a lot at TRU. It's important to try to follow the plans since boxes come in with codes on them for what aisle they belong to, they're in the computer telling you which aisle in case you need to find them, and for programs like ship-from-store, it tells you which aisle to find them. In some stores (not TRU), they even pinpoint the location on the aisle (one of my former codeworkers also worked for an auto shop and the computer would tell them how many spots over from the top corner an item would be).

Now, if you have a lazy person doing the planogram or an idiot doing the planogram, then you end up with something against the plan. Plus customers screw up aisles a lot. Especially at places like Wal-Mart. One of the most annoying things you can do when shopping is to pick an item up, look at it, and then place it on a different shelf or on a different peg.

Thanks I couldn't remember the brand name. From just doing a quick internet search on that name, it seems they re still being made. I haven't seen one though since the mid-80s I say.

I went to my local Walmart today looking for B-line ornaments. They have the usual aisle-end display. But, it looks like all they did was put out the ornaments left over from last year. Not all the pegs had ornaments, and the pegs with ornaments only had 1 ornament. frown

I am hopeful that they will be putting out this year's ornaments in the next couple of days.

What are the best stores to check for B-line ornaments besides Walmart?

I went back to my local Walmart today. It looked like they had put up about a dozen more ornaments...still a very empty looking display.

I drove about 6 miles to the next closest Walmart. I hit the jackpot. They had lots of the B-line ornaments out and many of each ornament.

There were a few labeled "Walmart Exclusive." One was BB-8 from Star Wars with a Santa hat...had to get that one. grin Also bought all 3 of the Porg ornaments that they had and got Mr. Spock and Capt. Kirk. I bought a few other Star Wars ornaments as well.

A very successful trip! smile

I went to my Walmart this weekend. The ornaments were not displayed like the picture here. They were on the bottom shelf by the thank you cards and were laid down on the back of the box with another box stacked on top. They did not have all the choices in the picture. The superheroes were the same...in stacks. There was a plastic strip that hangs at the end of a shelf that had more superheroes. They were 3.97 at my store and not $3. They didn't have Superman. There were other ornaments of this type that were not superheroes but I already forgot what they were.

I checked them out at my Wal-Mart. There is a Dorothy from OZ. Her face doesn't look right.

I liked the PEanuts- Snoopy one. It is really cute.

The metal ornaments includes Disney princesses (5 or 6), Rudolph, and some others I canít remember. Our Walmart had thes3 on a separate display 3 aisles away from the rest of the bline ornaments. It was in a cardboard display that hangs on the side of the end cap.

If Iím over that way later today Iíll go in and take a picture.

Or he's reacting to the price. Your description is funnier though.

I stopped in the WalMart that is about 5 minutes from where I work. I didn't see any Christmas stuff on display anywhere in the store.

There are a few nice b-line(red box) ornaments. Need to check out some of the local stores.

I went to Walmart today but forgot to check the ornaments. I had three things on my list- It seems that is the maximum that I can remember theses days!

Does anyone know why some of the b-line ornaments have ďQ tee 16Ē printed on them? What does that mean? I noticed in on some (but not all) of the boxed and carded b-lines.

It means that I took those photos and that is my watermark.

That is the mark of a true Hallmark fan- using the same font for your photo watermark that Hallmark uses!

I saw some of the boxed ones at Joann's Fabrics on Saturday. From the way they were displayed they will have more since there were more empty hooks than there were full ones.

If you think you might buy one or several check for Joann's coupons online; lately I've had some discounting one regular priced item and another coupon for a discount on my total purchase (and that may nor may not include clearance items).

I was in Lowe's Hardware today. Quite a scene Christmas inflatables on one side of the aisle and Halloween inflatables on the other side.

I did see that Lowe's has about a dozen Red Box ornaments. Nothing special that I haven't seen elsewhere. I thought maybe there would be some tool or home repair related exclusives. I'll have to check Home Depot in the next couple of days.

Went to Shopko today and there were NO B-Line ornaments. Probably 90% of Christmas is out and there was not an aisle for them as of yet. Surely they will be getting them as they have always had them and a similar line but maybe not. Things that make you go MMMMM.
