There is a yet-to-be-identified Star Wars ornament (ID# QXI3607) coming out for the Episode IX movie, supposedly being released during the October Debut event, and I'm wondering how long they are going to wait to reveal what the ornament will be. Does anyone have any inside info? Or examples of how long they waited in the past on similar situations?

I believe, in the past, due to contractual restrictions, they could not release the ornament or a photo of it prior to the movie premier.

Actually, there are 2 Episode IX ornaments on the Wish List order form and in the Dream Book that have not been identified.

QXI3637 is on the order form and in the Dream Book showing an availability of December. The Dream Book also refers to it as "Set of 2." Price is $29.99.
QXI3607 is on the order form and in the Dream Book with no date listed for availability. Price is $19.99.

Neither ornament is listed on Hallmark.com

Since the other ornament is listed as a December release I've assumed this one would be also. Wishful thinking would make it an October release but I think that deserves a heavy sigh.

I would expect these to appear on Hallmark.com about the time that the December flyer goes into the mail.

In prior years, one was released in November, and the other in December.

Disney seems to be keeping a very tight lid on "The Rise of Skywalker". As an example toys from the movie are to be available at a release event to be known as Force Friday (October 4). This week photos were leaked online from a retailer in the UK. The prevailing thought seems to be, based on the cardback, only five action figures from "The Rise of Skywalker" are to be released on this date. Of those four only four appear to be new. One is Rey (at least she appears to be "new"), the Sith Jet Trooper, which very similar to the Sith Tropper that was revealed months (May?) ago. The other new figures are Zorri Bliss (Kerri Russell) of whom a photo was published in "Vanity Fair" in May and a Knight of Ren, of which artwork has been released. The fifth figure is a rerelease of Poe Dameron.
The above depends on if the entire wave was shown on the cardback and this was only for "The Vintage Collection" the more highly articulated line. The more basic line may have more characters.

Hoping the ornaments are new characters and/or ships.

I think I got that October info from The Ornament Factory website. So obviously not official information. Since the movie doesn't come out until December, then it's either going to be something that's been advertised publicly by Disney, or the October date is just wrong. Guess we'll see.

Isn't there a new Star Wars tv series on Disney Plus, starting on November 12?

Yes, it's called The Mandalorian. It's a Boba Fett descendent.

The Hallmark I shop at has the October Star Wars Episode IX ornament, but can't sell it yet. They are not even allowed to look and see what it is. (They came in black bags)

They do have one reserved for me for Oct 5th.

Thanks for the post! Guess it's time for me to head on over and make sure they still have my Dreambook Wish List on file.

The Star Wars Episode IX itty bittys are sealed in black bags. The Keepsake Ornaments are in wholesale boxes. Both have stickers alerting the manager not to display them before October 4th.

This was described to me as as a "Red Stormtrooper". I was hoping for an older version of Princess Leia.

Sounds like a Sith Trooper

I had a feeling it would be a Sith Trooper. It's cool, but I was kind of hoping for a Finn or Poe Dameron ornament. Kind of odd they haven't done a Keepsake for either of those two characters yet.

At some point I hope they do a Finn, Poe Dameron, and a General Leia.

They never did a Mace Windu or a Clone Trooper Transport, don't know if we will ever see those as ornaments.
