2021 Christmas Card Exchange

It is time again for the Christmas Card exchange! A limit of 50 participants. If you only want to do a partial list, let me know.

If you are interested in participating the the exchange, please email the following:

1 Your full name
2 Complete mailing address
3 If you have a different email than the one using to send the information, let me know.
4 Every one will get a full list unless someone opts for a partial list.

My email is wjsforst@sbcglobal.net Put Christmas Card Exchange in the subject line. Double check your spelling, we don't want cards going to the wrong address.

Deadline for submitting your information will be November 15th. I will email the list the next day so all participants know how many cards and optional inserts are needed.

I know this has been great fun for past participants and many of us look forward to receiving many different cards (and little surprises) in the mail.

Hallmark let me know that the B1G1F boxed Christmas card sale starts on November 12.

An associate at my favorite store told me it starts Friday. I guess we'll be checking again before my mom and I go shopping for cards!

How many are we at? If anyone is thinking about this and not signed up yet, it really is a lot of fun. Cards start being delivered and sometimes a few show up the same day. They are so cheerful and bring a smile to your face. I display mine in the foyer on the closet doors. Such pretty scenes and colors. Sometimes people include a little keepsake inside the card and sometimes they do not. You don’t have to include an insert. It’s just so fun to send and receive Christmas greetings. When we have visitors they take the time to look at all the cards. If you’re having a hard day, a trip to the mailbox can sure turn that frown upside down. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and sign up.

I agree with you. With this virus, a lot of us have not gotten any good news and a card can make a big difference.

So far we have 17 people signed up.

I got my Christmas cards last weekend.

What type of inserts do people put in the cards?

Some examples are recipes, bookmarks, stickers, to/from stickers, address labels, confetti, $1, games, ornaments, etc. But you don’t have to put in an insert. It is optional. I’m so glad you signed up! It is a fun thing.

no idea what people put in there. Now that you've told me, it makes
sense. Thank you for the information.

Only 19 people are signed up so far. I hope to see a lot more.

On Halloween night while watching TV, we saw the first Christmas commercials on regular TV. I liked it! It’s that time of year! We can start to decorate and look at all the ornaments we have been collecting for years. Part of the Christmas season is sending and receiving Christmas cards. It’s so nice to have this basic tradition of Christmas be the same in this crazy world. If you haven’t already done so, sign up! It’s a lot of fun!

Hello,
Can someone check if I am on the Christmas Card Exchange. Janet has determined she sent it but I never received it. She also has a new computer so needed to ask someone else to send it. I did not receive the list yet. And some Yule loggers have sent card and I have not received any.

First can you let me know if I am on the list or not?

Well, I finally got everything straightened out with Kathy and emailed just about all of you this morning to add her. My naughty computer is now gone and I hope this never happens again. I lost a lot of work I was doing on a book among other things. So back to research.

beaglebabes, I sympathize with you. My son upgraded me to a new computer earlier this year. He thought he transferred all my files. But, I'm not always real great at how I saved things, so I'm still searching for some files. At least I still have the old computer in another room that I can access, if needed. If I can figure out where I put them on that computer.

Thanks everyone for all the cards I’ve gotten so far. They are just lovely. I’m always
amazed that in all my years receiving Christmas cards, I’ve never gotten a repeat.
Don’t you find that extraordinary?! Some cards are sparkly, some cards are matte, some
are portrait, some are landscape, some are square, some have inserts. Boy, and you
are soooo creative with those inserts! Thank you so much. I’m so glad I signed up
for the exchange. It’s been a delight :-)

exchange. This has been such a wonderful experience for me, a
first timer. The variety of cards and inserts are just mind
boggling. I never, in a million years, would have come up with

Thank you to all who were in the Card Exchange, I really enjoyed getting cards from all over the country! My husband loved seeing all the different addresses from all over!
