I went to a Hallmark today, and was told by one of the associates that Hallmark let them know already there will be NO datebooks starting for 2023, unless they relent on the decision. I guess we'll see.

So sad. They are a perfect size to carry around.

I will miss them.

I had a hard time finding them for 2022. I was lucky a yulelog person mailed me one.

Doesn't HMK realize that there are still many of us "old" people who need to hold something in our hands and prefer NOT to waste our paper and ink on printing a book that is cheaper to print commercially? This may bring me closer to the end of collecting ornaments, if not the end of my ornament purchases.

I know what you mean. Hallmark is an ordeal any more. My store closed is 2021, have to travel to a store. Then the stores I go to don't have what I want. So, I order online, and then the items arrived damaged. Can't win.
I've been scrapbooking, and I can't find photo albums, self-adhesive refills, and even photo frames at Hallmark.
I've been shopping at Hallmark for decades, and the datebook will probably be the latest
item to be a thing of the past.

My store usually has them, and I sent a bunch to people last year.

What no Hallmark datebook app for your smartphone?

That was sarcasm. Don't blast me.

I don't do apps on smartphones.

I'm a hardcopy type.

I also prefer paper but companies are stretched to think of ways to cut costs. The calendars are free to customers and that cost has gone up for Hallmark. Even if they decided to sell the calendars, then customers would be mad and refuse to pay for something they used to get for free. Hallmark can’t win here if they need to cut costs. I will be bummed if they discontinue the calendar but it isn’t the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

I too love these little books! When you say starting in 2023, does that mean they will have them this year? Guess will ask my Amys think the corporate stores are the only ones who get them. Ours had lots of them last year. Gee hope they stil will have them this year! If anybody sees any, please let me know! thanks

No, I was told starting with the 2023 year. which we would get the datebooks this fall for 2023, would be no more. 2022 was the last year of datebooks. We'll see, though.

The only reason companies are increasing prices and cutting back on printing is to add more to their bottom line. Plain and simple. I think it's terrible that the older generation are being ignored in so many areas.

Stop in one of two stores I typically shop in Salem NH - received the Hallmark 2023 Date Book. Appears they are given them with every purchase. On the cover HELLO 2023 with rainbow of colors streaking from the words and date

Wondering if the store where you found the 2023 Datebooks was Corporate or Franchise?

I was given two books this past weekend from independent stores if anyone needs one and can't find it. I don't use them.

I, too, would love a datebook if someone has no use for them!
Thank you!

RCarp and Susan in Florida have claimed the two books I have.

I may be able to get over to my local store for additional. I will take requests through my work day today for anyone else who may want one.

SandyT, you are on my list already.

Thanks,
Tonia
