If you have your computer modem connected to a phone line that has a phone attached, YuleLog can dial phone numbers that you've entered into the Collector database. Use Dialing preferences to customize the way YuleLog dials phone numbers from different locations, such as at home, at the office, or when traveling.

You can use modem preferences to store modem information in YuleLog, to automate communication.

To set modem preferences:

1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.

2. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Modem tab.

Select To

Setup
Specify a command for initializing your modem
Prefix
Specify a prefix for starting a call
Hang up
Specify a command for disconnecting a call
An option in the Port pop-up menu
Choose a port for the modem
Baud rate in the Speed pop-up menu.
Choose the speed for transmitting data between your modem and computer.
Defaults
Restore all settings back to Hayes-compatible default commands

3. Click Done.
