Upgrading from YuleLog 1.XX

1. Before installing the new version, run the old version of YuleLog.

2. At the opening screen, click on the UTILITIES button.

3. Click on the 'PREPARE FOR PROGRAM UPGRADE" button. (This saves a copy of your ornaments in a file called OLD.FM so that they can be added to the new version")

4. Quit the old YuleLog program.

5. Follow the Installation Instructions for YuleLog 2.

6. Move the file OLD.FM from the YuleLog folder to the YuleLog2 folder.

7. Start YuleLog as described in Starting YuleLog .

8. After you have completed the registration procedure, at the opening screen, click on the UTILITIES button.

9. Click on the "UPGRADE FROM VERSION 1.XX" button.

10. When asked for the password of OLD.FM, simply click on the Continue button. This process may take several minutes. Do not interrupt the computer while it is working.

11. Click on the Continue button to view your collection.

12. To save disk space, after you have completed the update process, delete the files OLD OLD.FM and OLD.FM from the YuleLog directory. They are only temporary files needed for upgrading.

13. After you are sure that your information has been transferred to the new version, you may want to delete the old YuleLog program and data to save disk space.
